toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled=false stopped wo**ng in Firefox 77
Solved
I have "cosmetic animations" switched off in Firefox to stop the annoying (to me) "flashing" tab animation on each page load.
In about:config this is set as: toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled = false
After the Firefox 77 update, the tab animation returned and the about:config option has no effect. Is there something else I can do to stop the flashing tab on page load?

Disable animations in your OS or go to about:config and create ui.prefersReducedMotion (Number) and set to to 1.

Thank you but when did the previous pref become obsolete? :o

Themes Junkie
The new pref integrates with the native OS animation setting (on platforms that have one).
